Venturly ("we", "us") provides a fundraising platform that helps startups discover investors, match to government grants and manage outreach. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what choices you have.
Account details (name, email, authentication identifiers), company and round information you provide during onboarding, content you create (notes, pipelines, documents, drafts), integration settings such as your email provider configuration, and technical data such as log and usage records needed to operate and secure the service.
Our investor database contains business contact information - name, firm, role, professional profile links, investment focus and business email - compiled from publicly available professional sources, ecosystem publications, partner data and material imported by our users. We process it on the basis of legitimate interests: connecting founders with relevant sources of capital in a business context. We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data.
To provide and improve the service; to generate matches, fit scores and AI-drafted content; to send outreach you initiate; to capture and classify replies; to produce analytics for your own account; to prevent abuse; and to comply with legal obligations.
We use AI models to enrich records, score matches and draft text. Content you submit for these purposes is processed by our AI providers under contract solely to return results to you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your private workspace content to train public models.
We share data with infrastructure, AI and email-delivery providers acting as processors on our behalf, and where required by law. When you send outreach, delivery is performed through the email provider account you connect, under that provider's terms.
Account and workspace data is retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal and operational requirements. Suppression records from opt-out requests are retained so we can continue to honour the request.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Investors listed in our database can request removal at any time using our opt-out form; suppression is applied across discovery and outreach. Platform users can request export or deletion of their workspace through the contact form.
We operate globally and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
We apply encryption in transit and at rest, database-level access controls, private document storage and least-privilege internal access. See our security page for detail.
We will post updates to this policy on this page with a revised date. Questions or requests can be sent through the contact form.
